How Much Does it Cost to Replace a Key Fob?
Largely determined by the make and model of your car, the cost of replacing a lost key fob can vary significantly. As a general rule, older cars (such as a 1994 Ford Mustang) would cost less than a 2017 vehicle of the same make and model by about $80. Our fob programming can cost anywhere between $150-$300.
Key fob technology is quickly evolving and reflects the many advanced developments in keyless-entry while being able to offer great value for the money. Go to our

If you do not have a spare, let us make a spare key fob for you. We've seen the suffering caused by owners who have lost their only key fob. It is more inconvenient and stressful to lose and have to replace your only key fob, than it is to call a locksmith and have them make one for you when you are not in an emergency.
Don't Be Without A Spare
Often taken for granted, a key fob is an easy thing to misplace. We recommend having only one key fob in circulation and putting the other away to only be used in an emergency. This helps prevent an untraceable loss. When two fobs are in circulation, you run the risk of losing a fob and not even noticing because there's another in your purse, or sitting on the counter on your way out, or in the jacket you wore yesterday.
Having a spare key fob is common sense and will ensure you always have access to your vehicle, even if you lose your master copy.
We have had years of experience in programming key fobs, and creating a new one for you if need be. We have grown in knowledge as technology has advanced. If you find yourself with a faulty key fob or you need to arrange for a spare key fob, get in touch with our team today to find out more about our services.

So, what does FOB stand for?
Many drivers wonder what "FOB" actually stands for.
While popular myths suggest it means "Frequency Operated Button," the word isn't an acronym at all. It is a centuries-old watchmaking term for a small pocket ornament.
Today, it represents the compact, wireless electronic remote that secures and starts your modern vehicle.
As early as 1653 the word fob was used to describe a small pocket for valuables but by the late 1800s and early 1900s, the fob had come to mean the pocket used for a pocket watch as well as for any other thing (ornamental or otherwise) that was hanging on the chain of the pocket watch.
Before your time (depending on how old you are, of course) car dealers would provide a key-chain for the owner's new key and sometimes hang an ornament on it. Then, in the early 1980's, when remote keyless entry systems started to gain popularity and momentum, car dealers began to call the remote a transmitter key fob, which today has been shortened to FOB.

We have a large selection of fobs to replace just about any fob out there.
