Can you make a new car key if I lost the original?

 Yes. You do not need to tow your car to an expensive dealership. Our mobile vans are equipped with advanced computer software that can originate, cut, and program transponder keys, high-security laser keys, and smart key fobs right on-site from scratch.

Is it cheaper to get a car key from a locksmith or the dealership?

A locksmith is almost always significantly cheaper and faster than a dealership. Dealerships routinely charge premium rates for programming and often require you to pay out-of-pocket to tow your stranded vehicle to their lot. We come directly to your location and perform the exact same programming for a fraction of the cost.

What information do I need to provide to get a new car key made?

To cut and program a key accurately, we require the vehicle's exact make, model, and year, along with your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). You can find the VIN on your dashboard driver-side corner or your insurance card.

You must also show a valid ID.

Can you delete old or stolen car keys from my vehicle's computer system?

Yes. If you have lost your keys or suspect they were stolen, we can perform an erasure procedure on your vehicle's computer module. This wipes all previously programmed keys from the memory, ensuring that anyone holding the old key fob cannot unlock or start your vehicle.

Can you duplicate a car key if I only have one heavily worn-out original left?

Yes. Instead of tracing a worn-down key (which copies the errors and may not work), we use your VIN to look up the vehicle's original factory code. We then cut a fresh factory-spec key from scratch so it operates perfectly in your ignition and door locks without sticking.

My key turns in the ignition but the car won't start. Can a locksmith fix this?

If the key turns but the engine cracks without starting, or if a security light flashes on your dashboard, your key’s transponder chip has likely lost its programming connection to your vehicle's engine immobilizer system. Our technicians can plug into your car's OBD-II diagnostic port and securely reprogram the system on-site.
